A VPS is a general-purpose machine, and supporting one properly means answering questions about operating systems, mail servers, web stacks and anything else a customer chooses to install. That is a different business from running game servers, so we partnered with UKNode rather than offering a product we could only half support. A VPS or a managed game server?

People often reach a VPS page while shopping for somewhere to run a game server, so it is worth being clear about the difference. A VPS gives you root access and an empty operating system: total freedom, and total responsibility for updates, firewalls, backups and diagnosing why the game process stopped at three in the morning. A managed game server hands you a panel with the game already installed, protection and backups included, and support from people who know that specific game. Freedom against convenience.

No. VPS plans are provided by UKNode, and an unmanaged VPS is administered by whoever rents it. Their team can advise on the platform itself, but the operating system and everything you install on it remain your responsibility unless you buy a managed option from them.

UKNode, since the service and the account are theirs. Anything you host with CloudNord stays separate, on separate invoices, supported through your CloudNord client area. The partnership only affects the pricing you are offered, not who you talk to about which product.
