What comes with every game server

Every plan uses the same platform regardless of which game you pick, so the tools do not change when your community moves on to something new. You get a web console for live output and commands, a file manager with SFTP access for anything the interface does not cover, scheduled tasks for restarts and maintenance, and automatic off-site backups with one-click restore. One-click installers handle mods, plugins and modpacks on the games that support them, and the memory tier can be changed as your player count grows.

Console and file access

Watch live output, issue commands, and edit configuration files directly or over SFTP when you need to.

Scheduled tasks

Automate nightly restarts, backups and commands so routine maintenance happens without anyone remembering to do it.

Backups you can restore

Automatic off-site backups with one-click restore, so a bad update or a griefed world is recoverable.

Room to grow

Change your memory tier in one click when the community expands, with the price adjusting to match.

Sizing a server for your community

Two things drive the specification you need: how many people play at once, and how much the game asks of the server. Lightly modded survival servers with a handful of friends are undemanding, while heavily modded worlds, large simulation games and busy competitive servers need noticeably more. Player counts are rarely steady either, since most communities peak in the evening and at weekends. Start from the size you actually expect rather than the size you hope for, then move up a tier once you have watched a genuine busy session.

Moving an existing server across

Bringing a server from another host is mostly a file transfer. Stop the old server so the world saves cleanly, download the world folder along with your configuration files, plugins and mods, then upload them over SFTP and start the new server to check everything loads. Keep the old host running until you are satisfied. If you use a domain, updating the DNS record is the last step, and players can be given the new address directly in the meantime.

Common questions

No. Everything routine is done through the panel: starting and stopping, editing configuration, installing mods, scheduling restarts and restoring backups. SFTP and file access are there if you want to work directly with files, but nothing about normal operation requires command-line experience.
Yes. Download your world, configuration files, plugins and mods from the old host, upload them over SFTP or through the file manager, and start the server. Support can help if a game has an unusual layout, and keeping the old server running until you have tested the new one is always the safer approach.
Cards and cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Monero. Crypto payments provision automatically once the network confirms the transaction, exactly like a card payment, and both appear in your invoice history so your billing records stay consistent whichever you use.
Our Discord community is open to everyone, customer or not, and it is where people compare notes on mods, configuration and running a community. Account and server specific problems are better raised as a support ticket, which reaches our team directly and around the clock.
