About CloudNord
We're passionate gamers and tech enthusiasts dedicated to providing exceptional game server hosting experiences since 2021.
Our mission
We started CloudNord because premium hosting shouldn't come with a premium ego — or a premium invoice. Great hardware, honest pricing and support that actually answers.
Every decision we make starts with the same question: would we want this for our own servers? From the hardware we buy to the panel we build, the answer has to be yes.
Global infrastructure
The company behind the servers
CloudNord is the trading name of CLOUD NORD LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 13394754, with its registered office at 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. Game server hosting is the whole of the business rather than a sideline, so the hardware we buy, the control panel we build and the people we answer tickets with all exist for one job. Where we do not have the depth to do something properly, such as web hosting or domain registration, we say so and point you to a partner instead.
How we choose hardware
Game servers live or die on single-thread performance, so we specify nodes around AMD Ryzen 7 7700 or equivalent processors rather than chasing core counts that a game loop will never use. Those nodes are paired with DDR5 memory, NVMe storage for quick world loading and saves, and a 10 Gbps network so one busy server does not starve its neighbours. The same specification applies across all 18 locations, which means picking the city closest to your players never costs you performance.
Most game servers run their main loop on one core, so clock speed matters far more to tick rate than core count.
Faster memory and storage shorten world loads, chunk saves and restarts, which is where players actually notice a slow host.
We leave capacity spare rather than filling a machine to the limit, so a neighbour having a busy evening does not become your problem.
DDoS filtering and automatic backups are part of the specification, not a paid extra bolted on afterwards.
Built alongside the people who use it
Most of what we have changed in the last year started as a message in our Discord community rather than a roadmap meeting. Server owners tell us which games they want added, which panel screens are awkward and which defaults they end up changing on day one. We also work with community creators who run their servers in public, which is an unforgiving way to find out whether something works. If you want to see how we operate before you spend anything, the Discord is open and you do not need to be a customer to join it.
