Enshrouded 1.0 Update: What's New and What You Need to Know

Enshrouded 1.0 is finally here! After spending time in Early Access, Keen Games has officially released the full version of its open-world survival RPG on October 15, 2026. One of the biggest additions in Enshrouded 1.0 is Cinder's Cradle, a new biome that expands the world and gives players more ground to cover.

You'll find volcanic landscapes, ancient ruins, dangerous enemies, and floating islands high above the ground. There's plenty to explore, but don't expect every area to be a walk in the park. You'll want to bring your best gear before taking on the tougher enemies and uncovering the secrets hidden throughout the region.

The update also opens up more areas across Embervale, giving returning players new places to explore beyond the main biome.

Build More Than Ever With Sparkworks

If building is your favourite part of Enshrouded, you'll want to check out Sparkworks.

This new creation system lets players connect interactive objects and build their own gameplay experiences. You can create traps, puzzles, interactive rooms, and even custom dungeons for other players to explore.

The possibilities go beyond building a nice-looking base. Want to make an escape room for your friends or create a challenging obstacle course? Sparkworks gives you more tools to bring those ideas to life.

There's also a new free-flying building mode, making it easier to work on larger builds without constantly setting up scaffolding.

The Story Finally Reaches Its Conclusion

If you've been following the story since Early Access, version 1.0 brings the main storyline to its conclusion. You'll have more quests to complete, new areas to uncover, and additional lore to discover as you continue your journey through Embervale.

Another welcome addition is fully voiced lore content, including books, letters, and other written discoveries. Major quest-givers and crafting survivors also receive voice acting, making the world feel more alive as you explore.

New Spells, Enemies, and a Higher Level Cap

There's more to the update than exploration and building. Combat has also received some major additions.

The level cap has increased to 50, while equipment can reach level 55. This gives experienced players more room to improve their characters and prepare for the new challenges ahead.

Magic users have plenty to look forward to, too. Nine new spells have been added, including options for crowd control, area damage, and summoning. New enemy types and variations also mean you'll need to adjust your approach when fighting your way through unfamiliar territory.
