How to Use SFTP with Game Panel

This tutorial will guide you through the process of using SFTP to upload large files, such as Minecraft worlds, to your server hosted on the Game Panel.

  1. Obtain SFTP Details

    Log into your Game Panel

    Navigate to your server's dashboard

    Click on the "Settings" tab

Look for the "SFTP Details" section

    Note down the following information:

    • Host (usually your server's IP address)
    • Port (typically 60002 for this panel)
    • Username (usually starts with your server ID)
  2. Download and Install an SFTP Client

FileZilla is a popular and user-friendly option

WinSCP is another good alternative for Windows users

  3. Connect to Your Server

    Open FileZilla

Enter the SFTP details you noted earlier:

    • Host: Your server's IP address
    • Port: 60002 (or the port provided in SFTP details)
    • Username: Your SFTP username
    • Password: Your account password (the same one you use to log into the Game Panel)

    Click "Quickconnect" or "Connect"

  4. Navigate and Transfer Files

Once connected, you'll see your local files on the left and server files on the right

Drag and drop your files and folders from the left (local) to the right (server)

  5. Wait for Transfer to Complete

Large files may take some time to upload

Do not close FileZilla until the transfer is complete

  6. Verify the Upload

Check the server side in FileZilla to ensure all files have been transferred correctly

You can also verify through the Game Panel's file manager

Troubleshooting

If you experience connection issues, try these steps:

  1. Double-check all SFTP details for accuracy
  2. Ensure you're using the correct password (your panel login password, not a separate SFTP password)
  3. Try changing the connection type in FileZilla settings to "SFTP - SSH File Transfer Protocol"
  4. Temporarily disable any firewalls or antivirus software that might be blocking the connection
  5. Contact CloudNord support if the issue persists, as there might be a server-side problem

This method should allow you to upload your 1GB+ files without issues. If you continue to have problems, don't hesitate to reach out to CloudNord's support team for further assistance.
